Who are we?
How we came in to being.. Some time ago I was having a long
think about forming knockout rockin’ band, and who would form this band?
I gave Russ a call (Formally Russ Be Bop & The Road Runners) and he
was up for it. Next, we needed a bass man.. Carl picked up the phone and said yes before I asked the question!
When did we start.. Well, 2014 is our first year and we’ve got off to a flying start.
What plans have you got for 2015? Well, onwards and upwards, pretty much the same as this year hopefully.
This Review has been a long time coming, But for myself, it was worth the wait. For
at least four years or more since I started Facebooks , "Wild Cat
Rhythm & Bop " rockin page, I have been playing Tunes from who I
consider one of the Most Authentic Rockabilly bands, on to days,
scene... Why its took this long for this band to be reconised, beats
me. but now in 2014 for this band , is going to be Special. year, mark
my words,.
When you listen to the Band , You will agree that they could have
come straight out of the Raw , early sounds that dominated the rockin
50's,,,They write their own songs & also do great covers &
simply rock up a storm on stage..So with out, boring you with my
opinion, Let The bands Lead singer/Guitarist (Herve) tell you in his own words,
how it all began!
Let me introduce to you, "JAKE CALYPSO & HIS RED HOT"
Rockabilly Rave 2012, Man! I just had to go , Why? because a new rockin band I have been listening to sinse, Ermmm two or three years , is finally coming to the UK.....MENTAL!!!
"Pike Cavalero & The Gentle Bandoleros" , "Crazy Train Boogie" is pulling in at Camber sands , Pontins. & its just up the track from where I live...Yeah!!!..Got my pass & raring to go..Settled in & a few good beers down my neck . well probably to many, but heah , its Rockin time!..just a quick sleep before they are on stage..nice...Right time to get to front of stage, "Hold on its very quiet! I thought "Hey Cat , Come with me " I shouted to my buddy, "Pike Cavalero & The Gentle Bandoleros are on". ..." They have just finished MozCat" he replied"..
"Oh No" I cried ..I only slept through, Damn! " I'll have to have more drink to drown my sorrows..Ahhha.
Thankfully Cats & Kittens I finally got to see them at Hemsby 50th. 2013. even said Hello! to Pike.. & yes I wasnt dissapointed. they were electric on stage..
Pike Cavalero, from Spain , formed the band in 2009-2010 & the demo recording "Weekender"..on CD.(limited).... Released in December 2010 born the tunes "
Along with Al Dual - Lead Guitar , Javi Carrasco - Double Bass & Antonio Quesada - Drums, they soon created a stir & released another record /cd. with "Sleazy Records "Just a Matter of Manners" (Sleazy Records, 2011) , which was presented by deejay Diego RJ on his Spanish national radio channel 3 program "El Sótano" as featured album of the day..with wild tunes , Real Deal Woman, Crazy Train Boogie, Stacy Lee
Then Boom!! the Bandaleros Train was on track all through Europe & uk , playing at all the top weekenders , Rockabilly Rave, Hemsby, High Rockabilly , Ubangi Stomp..to name just a few.
At the same time producing the follow up E.P "Second Round"...on Sleazy Records featuring tracks "Wannabis" & "Lets Get This Chicken Fried".
Yeah! ya all, Let me introduce ya to the Hillbilly/Rockabilly quartet who are "The Doel Brothers" ...I Finally Got to see live! this year at the infamous, " Rockabilly Rave 17"-..2013
Three brothers (Tommy,Gordon & David) , and Gary, from the UK, based around South Hampshire , having all played at sometime with different bands ( western aces,radio ramblers,westernaires etc.) decided to get together & have some Pruuury good fun , drink a beer or two and play some mighty fine authentic, straight from the heart tunes!! Yep!
The room was packed as so it should be in the down stairs concert room.The dance floor filled to capacity, Cats & Kittens milling around two & throw trying to get their beeer glassses full & the JD. supping. at the bar....".Hey ya all" were "The Doel Brothers"..they cried......Phewwwww just managed to load me beer glasses up" ahaaa. notitce I said beer glasses with an "S..", Cause I aint gonna miss these fellas" i thought. The cats & Kittens toes starting tippin & a tappin, straight from the off to the Doel Brothers frirst rockin number "I Need your Lovin". Well were off. all the cats & Kittens with smiles on their faces A glee in their eye , frantically clicking trying to inch on further to the stage to get a better shot for their cameras,cell phones & may be a few videos long as no one walks in the way , Damn!! lol..Oh well. lets just Bop & cheer..may be later." I thought..
These cats dont just do the uaual cover tunes , of course they do because this is what they love from the legends of the day like ,Hank Williams , Johnny Horton ,Tom James , Tennessee Ernie Ford & more, they also write their own " Tell Me You’re Mine" , "Educated Mind", "Sure You Won’t" .which are respectfully to my mind in the same authentic raw way a Honky Tonkin!! tunes........

Lil Red & The DogHouse Trio! . UK,rockabilly band , with a wild lead singer Diane Uraquhart (Lil Red) was bought up on the early 50's raw rockin music ,, which shows when she hits the stage. No Fluff or Popsicle Cats & Kittens, if ya looking for that , then wait for the ice cream man to come round on a sunny afternoon.With Lils band, DogHouse Trio ( Rusti Steel , Stewart Dale & Andy Meadows) they blast out infectious uncensored Rockabilly.. The Band started around 2007 & never looked back. playing all through the uk.along with hubby, Graham Urquhart( band Manager) who runs a Rockin Club in the

So , Cats & Kittens , you want to be shaken up? or maybe ya see just another band with a female singer & its gonna be all lovvy duvvy , the band starts playin , u think "Ermm ok" , then WHAM!! the lead voice hits ya like a truck . "Wow where did that come from". Strong , powerful rockin voice. Damn , she is good" you cry. "More , I want more".
Well welcome people. to "The Rhythm Shakers" from L.A. USA The Band started out in 2007 soon after they had a wild rockin party together over a few drinks of the good stuff & it as simple as that.They mostly write their own songs , with a few classic Rockabilly tunes in the set.
